The 5G LG V50 launches Today on Verizon

The 5G LG V50 launches June 20th on Verizon

The LG V50 ThinQ is the company’s first 5G phone and it launched last month on Sprint and EE in the UK. Today, Verizon has announced the device is joining their 5G ranks as well. The LG V50 marks Verizon’s 4th 5G device this year so far. The device was expected to come to Verizon, but now we have official details.
The 5G LG V50 launches June 20th on Verizon
Verizon is launching the LG V50 on their 5G network on June 20th. The device will cost $41.66 per month for 24 months on Verizon’s Device Payment plan or $999.99 straight up (slightly cheaper than Sprint’s price). As per usual, Verizon is offering some launch promotions as well.
  • New and existing customers can trade in an eligible phone for up to $450 off.
  • Customers who switch to Verizon and sign up for Verizon Unlimited can get an additional $200 prepaid Mastercard.
  • For a limited time, the $10 monthly access fee for Verizon 5G Ultra Wideband will be waived.
The phone itself is the exact same, only with a Verizon 5G logo on the back. That means you’re getting a 6.4-inch OLED display, Snapdragon 855 SoC with Snapdragon X50 5G modem, 5 total cameras (3 on the back), 6GB of RAM, and a 4,000 mAh battery. The LG V50 is still a nice phone if you’re looking for a 5G alternative to the Galaxy S10 5G, though with LG’s software problems it might not be a clear winner.
